For family offices
Oversight of every asset the principal owns.
A family office is usually a small team responsible for a large and varied set of assets, most of which are operated by someone else. Meridian is where that team sees the whole picture and acts on it.
What the office needs from it.
Not a reporting layer over other people’s systems. The place the work is actually tracked, so the reporting is a by-product.
One position, not five status calls
The operations board shows every asset at once: what is overdue, what is blocked and why, what is waiting on a vendor, and what is scheduled next. It is the answer to "where are we" without asking four people.
Approvals that are visibly pending
Work that needs the principal’s sign-off sits in an owner approval with the quote and the context attached. It is obvious what is waiting, how long it has waited, and what is held up behind it.
Spend recorded where the work happened
Costs are logged against the job and the asset, in whichever currency they were incurred, as the work is done. Month-to-date spend per asset is a number you can read, not a reconciliation exercise.
Continuity when people change
Records carry their own history, and each asset can export a handover pack. A new manager inherits the file rather than a folder and a phone number.
Working with the people on the ground
The captain, the estate manager and the vendor work in the same record.
Oversight stops being a reporting burden on the people operating the asset when they are updating the same record you are reading.
Staff work across the portfolio. Vendors are invited to specific jobs and see only those. Every change carries the name of whoever made it, so the office is reading current information rather than a weekly summary of it.
